Definition: Bulimia

Bulimia is an eating disorder characterised by binge eating and then purging of food, by for example forced vomiting, misuse of laxatives or starvation dieting.

Like anorexia, bulimia can in some cases lead to death. Bulimics may feel depressed, and feel ashamed and alone.
