Definition: Jill Wootton

Jill Wootton is Training Director of Uncommon Knowledge a UK based organisation that provides training in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. After a successful career in sales and marketing leading to directing a team managing international conferences and exhibitions, Jill retrained as a massage then acupuncture therapist.

She has worked and taught in a variety of positions and places, including The Cancer Resource Centre in Wandsworth and the Royal Marsden Hospital.

After seeing the hugely beneficial effects of hypnosis on her clients she trained in hypnotherapy. She now runs her own busy hypnotherapy practice in Cuckfield, East Sussex. Jill is a dedicated and experienced therapist and trainer with a down-to-earth and fun presenting style.

Jill is a qualified hypnobirther and hypnotherapist (having trained with Uncommon Knowledge). She and her partner Steve Griffiths run regular Natural Childbirth workshops in Sussex, UK.

She has also created the 2nd nature birth programme – self hypnosis and childbirth preparation’, which is a complete training course for mothers who want to learn self hypnosis to help them enjoy a more naturally and pain free childbirth.

She has recently appeared on Sky One's 'Angry Britain' where she successfully treated a woman for road rage and on Channel Five's 'Trisha' where she talked about the use of hypnosis for weight loss.
