Definition: Phobia

A phobia is an intense, irrational fear of an object or situation.

People can become phobic to just about anything, but some common phobias include:

* Arachnophobia - fear of spiders
* Claustrophobia - fear of enclosed spaces
* Acrophobia - fear of heights.
