My Confidence  Reply with quote

Hi

I have blushed since i was about 16, thats when it got bad, i am now 22 and i blush, and i avoid situations because of the fear of blushing, i dont work (i have anxiety, i will post in the anxiety forum in a sec).

I am pretty pale, so my blush makes me look like a tomato, any ideas guys? I know i will probably blush until im dead, but how can i hide it as much as possible, a fake non streak tan?

Im currently in week 1 of Rogers 6 part free confidence excercise, and im thinking about getting the CD's for 27 pounds, but because i dont work, thats alot to me, should i try to get it?

I dont know how to talk to people in a confident way at all.

Help!

Thanks

Hey there, take a look at other blush threads, some good advices can be found there. I think the key in general is to realise blushing has no impact on who you are, and you shouldn't put any emphasis on it. Why do you think that it's something so bad? Don't be ashamed of yourself! When you are going red try to face it with smile and enjoy it, enjoy the feeling you are going red and you are absolutely cool about it. Try to visualise the situation to "practise" that. When you are able to summon that feeling while going red, just once, you'll see that it's doable and it will have great impact on your self-esteem too.

I believe the key for destroying those problems is destroying the statement in your mind - from your point of view it's a big problem when someone goes red, while in my mind it's no problem, blushing doesn't bring that person down in my eyes(and I see no objective reason why it should). I can understand people who laugh at blushing people, they are a bit weak and need to heal their egos a bit, but that shouldn't worry you! Why would you loose your time and nerves with those people?

You see, it's just a matter of point of view.

I'll post an article about blushing on my blog soon because it's probably a widespread problem.

Take care Smile

being red is sh** i know, its happened to me scince a young age though it didnt really effect me until i moved away, now im learning ways to cope with it, ive posed my tips on blushing though it can only work if you truely belive its working, for me its the hot face that i cant bere, though others its the redness, ok the redness is as sh** but its the burning feeling that knocks me for six, fake tan wont help, it seems to just bring the redness out more, though when i use sunbeds if im doing it regualar it not only makes me look exotic but blends the redness in too. to get some confidence back try using the makeup dermablend for a while, it helped me out loads in getting work behind bars and all sorts. or try freederm...

www.freederm.co.uk
www.garden.co.uk, and search for dermablend

yeah being im living in the uk too, originally from essex but in cornwall now, you can find freederm at your local shops over the counter like at tesco, morrisons, boots etc, it doesnt look at all like makeup as its clear like gel, i cant surely tell you that it will stop your blushing all together but does help that little bit more, it says to use 2 times daily but i take precautions and use it 3 times. when you get it it may not work straight away but give it a week or so to feel the diference. So where in essex you from????
