Diazapam  Reply with quote

Hi

I had a few bad panic attacks / anxiety attacks recently. My doc has given me a small amount of Diazapam (2mg) tablets to combat this while i get some tests carried out.

What does Diazapam do? Are there side effects?

Cheers

Hello canstop,
Diazepam is an interesting drug with a multitude of uses. The main point is that you will not be on it for very long. But you may experience daytime drowsiness and dizziness. I know that i'm stating the obvious but you should not be anywhere near any machinary or driving while on this drug.

Are you having any adverse effects at the moment?

Hi imheretohelp

I just started on them today so maybe its too early to tell what side effects i might get. I suppose its a low dose so hopefully it should be o.k.

I will post back if any appear.

I was prescribed Valium and to be honest I thought it didn't do a lot apart from make me feel a bit depressed. It is an addictive tablet and when your system gets used to it you will need more and more to feel relaxed. Not to say its not good to have if you are feeling really bad but I wouldn't rely on it too much as it should only be used short term. Best of luck

I was prescribed 2mg diazepam. On tuesday have stopped taking them now .They make you relaxed near unable to have an attack. My only worry was coming down off of them.Remember these are short term answer. But they do allow you to go and do things you could'nt otherwise which breaks the panic cycle well it did for me anyway .good luck
