"Quotes For Quitters"

Postby 2 Old 2 B Buzzed Daily » Sat Mar 07, 2009 7:20 pm

I have always loved quotes and over the years I have acquired a collection that has always been helpful to me.

I am starting this quote thread with the believe quotations can and do, change peoples lives. They inspire us and motivate us to turn our dreams into realities. They encourage us, they uplift our spirits, and they help us to persist in spite of difficulty -- to endure in the face of adversity.

I invite everyone to add their favorite quotations. :D

jb_2008, you can't get sober / stay clean with a negative attitude either!

I think this is a great idea 2 Old, so I'll add one....

Hey 2 Old, I would suggest that everyone on this forum fully appreciates that you are actively contributing positive content and are really trying to reach out and help those who are struggling with their demons.

jb_2008, on the other hand, is nothing more than an advertisement for Al-Anon and has racked up hundreds of single sentence (sometimes single word) posts that never seem to adequately address the subject matter or problems being discussed.

Hi Hdogg, Nelson & Time_2_change

Thanks for the input. I agree with everyones low opinion of JB's "help" on this board

If you notice most people ignore JB_2008 posts. It is rare to see someone respond to his less then marginal input. Like many on this board I have no respect for his opinions. Usually if I see a jb_2008 post I don't even bother reading it.

Anther thing I read a lot on this forum is that there's no point looking back. But how can I hope to change a behaviour if I don't try to identify and learn from previous mistakes, which inevitably involves looking back on my life.
