Question re: 'Project YOU Goal Setting Process'  Reply with quote

Dear Ms. Swinton: I am enjoying reading your posts very much. In one of them, you mentioned the above-referenced goal setting process. Would you share more information about this.

I am considering a change of career, (in mid-life), as well as coming out of a year of (not sure what to call it), and I am unsure what my goals are at this point.

Any insight you can offer will be much appreciated.

Sincerely, Peanut

Hi Peanut,

Thanks for your question.

I have written a goal setting process which will be posted over the next few weeks, after the personal development posts are complete (only 1 to go!) Hopefully this will help you with your journey.

In the meantime, I have a couple of suggestions for great books that may help. These are "What Colour is My Parachute" and Steven Covey's "7 Habits of Highly Effective People". The Parachute book is updated each year, with loads of practical advice and tools to help you with career/life related goal setting. The 7 Habits book, has a great chapter on goal setting, and if you can see through some of the Americanised jargon, got other useful advice if you are re-aligning your life direction.

Regards

Lyndsay
