questioning everything
and
thinking about
how
our sunflowers opened up to the sun
and the bees
and now they are picked dry,
the petals have fallen
and what is left has closed up, tightly,
like wrapping their sweaters around them

(not a poem by the way, it really is something i am thinking about)

distant deep feeling of sadness. Immediate feeling of peace, slight detachment, feeling of joy and contentment, satisfaction and comfort, frustration and anger, slight flavour of self-disgust, pride, love, industrious-ness, crouded, free, expansive, reclusive, objective, blinded, selfish, caring....etc.

My shoulder is feeling in pain from a fall down my stairs and the pain is really bad and freaking me out. Otherwise, I am excited about my show coming up in November, optimistic about feedback from other galleries and other venues who will want to hang my work there as well, hopeful that I get a regular job soon, and generally OK and happy.

Very excited about my show, which has been moved to December for more floor space (!!!), sad and kind of jealous as a result of a family situation, missing my husband because he works so many different hours and shifts, and expectant because I might be hired this coming week, fingers crossed.
