You really are impressive Nicky. Your knowledge of songs and artists is amazing. Have you ever tried ringing in to a radio quiz. there is the morning one on Radio 2............the scottish guy ............I'm having a senior moment over his name. Or better still as Erin would say don't waste your talent for a digital radio or some such.......go for a quiz that pays money! will you be my phone a friend if i ever go on Who wants to be a Millionaire?

More yummy meals again.......we're having takeaway pizza soon Rolling Eyes

Cinders ...you made me laught our loud again with the dezcription of you house. To keep you company we still have a kitchen ceiling that looks as though a 2year old has plastered. He's coming back on Tuesday to put up plasterboard and re-plaster. So fingers crossed that it doesn't fall down again just as I'm baking for next Saturday's shindig. I'll charge extra to the ones who get bits of plaster in their food.

I saw the weather forecast and thought of you two southerners. What a contrast....you were just unlucky enough to be in the bit that was sweeping across the south west Cinders. Been very cold here today but otherwise dry. Having said that I bumped into my friend's daughter....aged 17 ...wearing a short sleeved top and she looked surprised when i asked her if she wasn't cold. Silly me........it's only November in Yorkshire Rolling Eyes

Well here's me going on about the cold LBH.............nothing compared to Finland I expect. I think I'd just hibernate if I live any further north.

Not sure about Turkey, Desperate. My husband John tells me that it can get really cold in some parts of your country.........I suppose I just know that although I've never been myself.......most people I know who have been go for the sun.

Now I'm being really British ....talking about the weather Laughing

Well, back to the teddy knitting. I need a change though so today I got some wool to make Thomas the Tank Engine sweater for our niece's little boys. Thomas isn't just blue.........he has little bits of loads of colours.............not a thing you'd notice until you come to knit him I suppose Confused

So glad Stephen's in Edinburgh........I don't have to feel too envious of him being warm and sunning himself. That'll be later in the month when he's in Morrocco and it's even colder here.

Take care chickabiddens. Hope you're all having a great evening whether working or playing or just relaxing.

Love Minx xx

surrey scamp sidekick i dont know why but to me comes easy to call him Scamp or Shrimps Razz lol.... dont ask me why

we had(have) some guests sleeping here, i cooked chicken and potatoes in oven (chicken marinated in honey) i put a lot of rosemary, pepper, a bit of garlic, olive oil (i wet all the potatoes) and some dark vinegar (different from standard one)

it was very good Smile but some small mushrooms i made a part for myself i made a mess Very Happy ehehm...

finnish cold > well inside every house is always confortable (i never wear anything on top, no tshirts etc) its about +22-23 c. every day of the year
of course outside its a bit a problem, from +4 to -25 (i havent seen this yet in Helsinki, but in some northern - middle of finland, no need for the northest place - yes )

if you put yourself underpants (what u call them) whool socks, then Jeans ? have a normal shirt , and a good jacket, gloves, an hat, you will survive Razz

i believe people gets over shocked to listen to such temperatures, but they are not evil

i find very evil strong wind or rain, snow and ice are joy

i always tell my family, when you have +40 c. in a city like Rome, invaded by mosquitos, you cant escape

but to cold you have many things to feel good
(i remember 1 year ago, after doing cross count-r-y? on a frozen lake, when i finish, i drank hot chocolate, sun was shining - still with minus a lot - and i was feeling like i never ever had anxiety and panic Surprised Smile Very Happy (even if i hate to be over over over covered)

oh oh guests coming back, brb

addition :

i hate more to wake up early, than -30 celsius lol Very Happy

Mad

Ken Bruce is the name you're looking for Minx, as i actually listen to him myself, think he is a really nice guy in fact and such a dry wit which i love. Hey i actually play along with that quiz, but the guys who go on there most certainly have a lot more musical knowledge than myself. Am very often amazed at how knowledgeably music wise some of them are. However saying that i do actually answer some of the questions correctly.........

You did make me laugh when you said about the temperatures there and the fact that your friend's daughter was slightly underdressed. It brought back memories of when me and my sisters were younger. I was heading to the bus stop on a really cold day, and there was my sister standing waiting for a bus in a summer dress. The dress was a kind of blue colour and so was my sister's skin Shocked Laughing ...goosbumps on top of goosebumps if you get my drift lol...

Had a fab time at my sisters....Pizzas, garlic bread, salad and new potatos with garlic were on the menu. Anyway out came the presecco and cava, and then she told me to go upstairs and get......................yay a bottle of champers she had been saving for christmas...but for goodness sake that is ages off yet, and we had to make sure it wasn't off... Confused Wink . Anyway i went into her bathroom and found an unopened box of Grace Philosophy perfume....yum. I naughtily opened the box, put on some perfume and then couldn't put the box back properly so had to confess Embarassed .....she replied to my complete amazement "go ahead and keep it"........... Shocked omg i couldn't stop kissing her lol, and she also gave me a tan leather bag which she no longer wanted, so all in all i had the best day ever Laughing ...hang on

Letsbehonest......reading your posts is like sunshine after rain...god how i love the way you express yourself, so simplisticly?...and yet so understanding and to the point.

I like you absolutely detest being overdressed indoors. And as soon as i get in take off most of my clothes and put on shorts, flip flops and summer tops. I have always been like that ever since i was younger.....funny eh?.

Your food sounded absolutely delicious. I take it that dark vinegar is balsamic, as i watched a cookery programme the other day, and they poured loads of balsamic over the potatos before roasting....deeeeelicious Very Happy .

The weather here today is kind of blue and grey bits and has been raining.

Am off into town today.. and will be looking after my friends little girl tomorrow so best stock up on some goodies whilst out.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

Here's remembering all our boys past and present.....on Remembrance Sunday..God bless them all X.

Love Nicky XX.

Travel back safe Stevieboy...XX

Hope gig went well Cinders...was i right?...

ehe Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed ty! but sometimes i make a mess writing Razz many people say im complicated to read (even in my own language lol)

undressing > indeed, im not a nudist or something, but to be free and wild is a golden thing Smile even in summer when all is green and the temp. is acceptable, im like a child just with shorts, even if i have a hairy chest hahaha Very Happy but once i cared about it now i dont care, freedom is priceless, even when you roll in the grass Wink

dark vinegar = yes balsamic (and italian ofc. Smile)! i gotta try something new, something great, i wanna be a wizard of the chicken, maybe time will help Smile time and failed shots Smile ehe... ouch

i also see that tv show : Hells Kitchen (Gordon Ramsay) i dont like his style, very aggressive, many f***ing words (sorry) hes an anxiety generator for who is around him, imho of course, but he makes so many dishes, respect for that Smile

i believe great things can be done with nice and sweet ways too.
