You would get very few calories from this, though a couple might get in if the food is a carbohydrate, as the digestion of carbs begins in the mouth. |

Hi sookie_salvatore,
There’s nothing wrong with you, and you don’t need fixing
It’s some inappropriate habits and behaviour patterns that have been learnt, and it would be helpful to learn some different, more appropriate ones, that’s all.
It’s often the case that a person realises on one level that what they’re doing isn’t quite right. Their logical, common sense, reasoning mind. Then there’s another part that is largely emotional and habitual. It’s all the things we’ve learnt and now do without really thinking about them, and that’s the part that usually wins.
“...for example I have lost too much weight and I still look at myself the same way as before...”
I think there’s a clue there. If losing weight hasn’t made any difference, is it really about weight at all? Eating disorders rarely are. They’re usually a ‘symptom’ of something much deeper.
Take care,

A calorie is a solid part of the food, so the most calories that you will consume are basically whatever you swallow. Sadly to say that I have done and do this myself. I spent 6 months doing this everyday. It's not healthy but your very unlikely to consume the amount of calories of food that you have in your mouth unless you swallow. You can consume the sugar obviously as thats in your saliva. |
