Dont enjoy life

Postby t1xdt1 » Mon Jul 31, 2017 3:23 am

I live in constant fear of my girlfriend leaving me. I cant understand why she is With me. Im nothing special and others could give what i give her a million Times better. I dont enjoy doing anything anymore. I just want to spend time With her. She tells me she loves me Every Day and There are no real issues in The relationship besides my view of myself. Weve been together for a year and a half. I believe her when she tells me she loves me, The look on her Face cant be faked. But for some reason i just dont understand why. Its killing me, literally.

It happens a lot to people. It's happened to me and it still does. If this is a new feeling, I suggest you consult a doctor before it goes too far because this looks like a sign of an anxiety disorder. Also, have you ever told your girlfriend that you feel anxious about her leaving you sometimes for no reason and it's really bothering you? Perhaps if you tell her, she'll try even more to be supportive of you. You don't even need to tell her you have an irrational fear of a breakup. Maybe just telling her that you've been feeling really anxious about things and you're not in the best place. I know it's really not easy to talk about feelings (I'm horrible at it, in my last relationship I could barely tell my partner anything) but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. And if you find that even talking about your emotions is rather daunting, then it's possible consulting a doctor is a more liable answer. However, I really do firmly think you should tell her that you haven't felt that great and you've felt anxious lately. Relationships thrive on communication and it really seems like she genuinely loves and cares about you because you're able to identify it even with the anxiety that's been crippling you. Communication will also lessen the chances of a breakup.

As for not enjoying doing anything anymore and just wanting to be with her, maybe that's just what you should do. Losing interest in things could be a sign of anxiety or depression as well, but I am certainly not a doctor so I do still suggest you see one whether this is new or not (of course, still speaking with your girlfriend). After you tell your girlfriend, I'm sure she'd be more than willing to accommodate your activities together for you. I have a friend with anxiety and she and her boyfriend often just sit down and hold each other and it makes both of them feel better about whatever is happening.

Also, I just thought I'd mention- saying that what you're feeling could be a sign of anxiety and depression is meant as a mere possibility. Don't take it too seriously because that will not make your situation better at all and again, I am NOT a doctor- I'm just some teenager who wants to share some advice with people who seem to need it, with people who go through what I go through. By all means though, if you're concerned about your mental health, speak to a professional and/or someone you trust (but if you're in a relationship as you are you really should tell your partner too).

I hope it goes alright for you, t1xdt1.
