There's no help for me.

Postby DameSame » Sun Aug 06, 2017 11:07 pm

I don't know what to do..I'm stuck. I have no way of getting help from doctors or therapists because I have no insurance, job, car or license. And even if I did have a car I wouldn't be allowed to go anywhere. I'm 21 and all I'm allowed to do is sit in my room applying for jobs, nothing else. I can't have friends or relationships. I'm so alone.... I'm so stuck and trapped.. No one can afford to help me get the treatment I need. I guess not everyone is supposed to get help? Some people are just meant to be left in the dark to slowly die.. The world is so messed up. People like me, are the ones who no one thinks about. No one even thinks that hey they have absolutely no way of getting help.. Without money or insurance you're just as good as dead. I'm in that small list of sick people that get lost to this world while the rest of the world keeps on going about their lives without a care. There is nothing for people like me.

All you are allowed to do? YOU ARE AN ADULT. You are 21 years old. You need to grow the (insert expletives here) up!!!!

YOU can do whatever the hell you want to do. You don't have to apply for jobs if you do not want. It sounds like your parents have struggled and continue to struggle to get you to grow up and now are treating you like a child, telling you to apply for jobs and nothing else.

By the good graces of your parents you are not out of the house on your own, with no support. That is where you would be if I was your parent. Then guess what you would be doing? Applying for jobs so you can eat or living in a homeless shelter.

YES...there are consequences for your decisions. You are 21, an adult that can do whatever you wish. You can choose to leave and go live on the streets. You can choose to place yourself in a terrible area. You don't have to sit in a room applying for jobs. If you do sit there, that is your choice, your consequences for the decision YOU are making as an adult.

From your OP it sounds like you have lived a very sheltered life. Your parents have struggled to teach you how to grow up and be an adult. Maybe your parents have enabled you to be weak. Maybe your parents have been overprotective, but the past does not change the hard fact that YOU can choose whatever path you wish AND you will rightfully gain or suffer the consequences of your choices. That is the way life works and it is wonderful.

At 21, get a damn job. Save some money and learn to live on your own. Stop relying on mommy and daddy to provide you everything. I understand your parents have a role in providing and enabling you to feel like the world is to blame and you are the victim, but that kind of thinking stops with you, no one else. Only you can decide that you are in charge of your life.

Make it a good day.

Self-empowerment is your greatest asset. If you can rifle off each and every issue that stands before you, plus fight off advice on how to face them, then you must possess the means to fight for yourself. Nothing in life is insurmountable. What burdens most people are their feelings while they reside in a crisis. Sometimes their feelings IS the crisis.

When my kids reached adult age and use to complain about their choices and whether they liked their options, I was always quick to point to the front door. I said, " If you find your choices unbearable here, please walk through that door. Freedom awaits. But remember it's expensive and it doesn't care what happens to you."

You might feel hampered by the demands that have to be made of you. But I can assure you, being inpatient will not produce the results you seek. Wanting something is never enough. Use this time to find out more about yourself. You are too emotional and not thinking things through. Having a rant is crying for attention, not problem solving. You need to step back and start thinking about how to do for yourself. Complaining about how unhappy you are and hiding behind "issues" is how people quit in life. Get involved and quit pointing fingers. You are of adult age now. Time to be accountable.

Yes, life can be very frustrating when we don't know what we want and feel unfulfilled. But regardless of how you feel, people do not owe you anything. That is the tentacles of entitlement that come from your youth. You must learn to stand up and start supporting yourself instead of asking for more hand holding. Start thinking about things you can do for yourself and get a job to start saving so you can accomplish them. Nothing worthwhile is obtained without sacrifice. That's your first lesson in adult life. I wish you the best.

there is a way of thinking that has lead you to the "trap" that you living today, and if you continue with the same way of thinking, it can lead nowhere but where you already are, and what you should be looking for is a new way of thinking So it can lead somwhere else

At the moment you have so many unfinished targets: no job, no car, no this, no that, and thinking of all that is somehow too much to handle, but what you can do is to simply wake up in the morning and see what you can do to make your life better, and you do simple things that can easy be done,
