The 'hypnotic text message'

Postby kevpar » Mon Jul 16, 2007 10:18 am

I experimented with the idea of the hypnotic text message on a friend of mine whom I know it particularly suggestible.
I had a small margin of success however by the very idea of a hypnotic text success rates are bound to be low as your entire presence is removed, you have no idea what state the text will find them in, what they are doing etc.

the text i sent verbatim:
"You have to want this to happen as you read this, as your eyes move from word to word, reading this on the screen, the weight of the phone in your hand, the weight of your eyes can grow, It's going to become comfortable to let them close after reading this. You can find yourself sinking and drifting, so comfortably, deeper and deeper with every breath"

The best I got was that her phone suddenly felt heavy but was emphatically told that she 'didn't want to be put to sleep'.

hmm :?

hm. you like being sneaky? learn anchoring. something really fun is attaching feelings to events/things. without them knowing.

The site nlpu has an online encyclopedia. You can look up anchoring.

Then I suggest searching your past and recalling incidents where a touch or tone from someone has triggered an emotion spontaneously. Because of our nature we set and fire anchors all the time.

Then at bed time tell yourself to dream of all the times you unknowingly set anchors in the past. Because you have.

Let me know how that goes because my next advice will make sense to you after some of that.

But as far as written text goes, do you think its even plausible for someone to be hypnotised via that route?

I've heard of it being done, albeit not through text messages, but through an IM.
