Postby jaylouise » Wed Nov 19, 2014 6:48 pm

I'm new to this forum but really need some advice. Ive had an eating disorder for many years now - some of which were spent in psychiatric hospitals and recently i've been struggling with restricting my intake massively again. I don't get weighed any more but im in the healthy weight range and i dont think i have lost any weight? so i dont know what to do, i want to start eating properly again but im too scared to gain unnecessary weight ? I feel like that in order to start eating properly i need to loose some weight first so i have something to gain? please help
thank you x

Your weight gain or loss is the 'signal' and it is buried in the 'noise' which is water weight gain or loss.
The density of water is probably greater than most foods that you eat.
I lose two lbs overnight on average.
With only water intake you should lose two lbs/day.
A reasonable weight loss is 0.5 to 2 lbs/week.
The evening weight seems to be the most.
For emotional eating, try to distract yourself.
Fill up on fruits, vegetables and liquids.

Try to combine a healthy diet with sport ,try to avoid sugar fat and bread in the process of losing weight and you will see that you will achieve results
