If I knew that I would burn an extra 1000 calories, it would make a diffference psychologicaly, but I sppose most people will say it's haox.

Not a hoax, just a Silly Idea. It's true that being cold will make the weight fall off you, because the bulk of calories/kilojoules are used for thermal regulation. I always carry extra when I live in the tropics, and I swear I lose 10lb the minute I get off the plane at Heathrow. So forget the anti-thermal underwear and turn your heating down in winter. Or off, if you can stand it.

I see it's warm in Brussels right now. Best you go swimming.

yeah it would just feel as if there's something extra. If I'd use it, I'd be more aware about my diet and body and eat healthier because I wouldn't feel so guilty if I'd eat something bad once in a while;

Have you looked at these two links regarding detoxification and regeneration of body and health?

Yes, that could work. Anything that gets rid of the guilt, matey!

I've actually printed off some stuff from the thiniceweightloss.com website to take to my favourite fashion retailer, in hopes they'll import some of the vests and insoles. I'd love to try it -- perhaps not this time of year, when daytime temperatures are just slightly higher than perfect, but definitely when it starts hotting up. If I can show up on my pushbike not beet-red and sweating profusely in our tropical summer, those vests will fly off the shelves.

I've emailed them and they asked me if I wanted to subscribe to their email list, so I'll get an email once it is available. What a psychological difference it would make...

I would personally not recommend using such vest (if it even works as good as they say which is rather unlikely). Tampering with your health in such a way does not seem like a good idea. Although i can see the appeal of the product...

you're bashing a product you don't know with words like "rather unlikely". For people like me: having tried everything, diets or calorie restriction doesn't work, so this would be great so don't bash it if you haven't researched it properly.

I'll bet you haven't "tried" the way human sapiens are built to eat, i.e., a diet based on (mostly consisting of) fresh, raw, vine/tree-ripened properly-grown fruits and berries and melons. That's where you'll see results, if you're committed to the understanding and follow-through. (Ask if you'd like information resources.)

I don't like extremism and try another diet where people say: if you do this, you'll have results. There's always that new diet being so much better than a previous one. What it comes down to is burning more calories. I want to work on muscle mass, extra sports and this could be an extra thing for people loving to eat like me.

It's not a "diet". It's the way the biology of our species works with the fuel provided. When you feed dirty fuel to the body, you get unpleasant results. When you start putting in clean fuel, the body will work better, and also be free to get rid of the stored results of the years of dirty fuel. Of course, you're always free to choose your path.

It's funny, once one gains a perspective, that man thinks his thinking is better than the wisdom of what creates man and nature.

I've been there and done that, very healthy eating over a long period of time and I lost weight, my body responded well to it, but I missed my pizza, french fries,....I need that once in a while to be motivated and I don't like diets ruling out food groups. It's not that extreme but anyone is free to believe as long as they don't impose it to me. It's just: this new research shows there's a way to burn extra calories which is something many people could benefit from. If I wouldn't feel guilty eating some extra cake, I would feel more motivated to maintain a healthy diet in general because I know: I burn more calories. And yes, you can also achieve that by exercising and stuff. It's just that extra motivator.

Me neither -- although the one that includes pizza and extra cake could probably go without causing any physical stress. :wink:

You're saying you need a kick-start. A day on fruit or veg juice only would probably accomplish that.
