it feels that i dont want to be around and see my father pass away.

HI waltgill,

This is a dreadful experience and no doubt you are still under extreme stress. The best I can advise at this stage is to go on a anti-stress diet such as Hypoglycemic Diet.

It's important that you do eat frequent small snacks, because otherwise matter will only get worse.

I hope you have some supportive people around you with whom you can discuss your problems. Please let us know how you are getting along.

You will find plenty of people here that will give you support.

Hello waltgill,
It does sound like you have had a really rough time and, while I'm no therapist, I suspect you may have depression.
You need to get out an do something, spending all day alone will make everything worse and also taking no exercise will mean your body will not function correctly. I appreciate asthma and COPD may make this hard but everyone can do something, even it is small, walk to the end of the road, do some gardening, anything to get yourself moving.
It is very hard to deal with the loss of a loved one, especially parents, and there are lots of excellent bereavement councellors and support groups who can help you work through these feelings.
Your eating patterns could be a result of stress, depression or the start of soething more serious. While jurples may get some negative comments on here, I agree that that kind of diet can be hugely beneficial and even help with alcohol problems. Alcohol should be enjoyed at times, not used as a sleeping pill!
I would really implore you to seek some more help, while there is a lot of support available on forums, sometimes it is essential to get some more help.
Best wishes,
