Panic attack versus Paranoia

Hello,

In my understanding a panic attack or intense anxiety is fear of being a victim of circumstances due to an inherent lacking or being disadvantaged. In comparison paranoia and suspicion is fear of being deliberately victimised by someone for their advantage. Hence in panic one is not concerned with unfair treatment, if one fears job interview it is not because the employer wants to discriminate but it is because there is something lacking in us. Paranoia relates to being exploited on a personal level.

I am interested to know if the same approach used to treat panic can also be used to treat paranoia.
As in case of panic challenging the negative beliefs that trigger one to feel being disadvantaged. Would the same approach of challenging the assumption that X person is targetting one be applied.

Thanks for the help
