No no no!
Fit For Life breaks the day into three equal parts. Noon to 8pm is
appropriation, when you do the bulk of your eating. 8pm to 4am is
fasting, so you need to have dinner before then. 4am to noon is
elimination. This is the time to eat fruit and nothing else, not even coffee (which is a
FFL no-no anyway). So when you get up in the morning you have all the fruit and fruit juice you want. That passes through you very quickly, making your whole digestive system nice and clean. Therefore
FFL also bans fruit salad for dessert, because if you put it on top of heavier foods it can't get through and starts fermenting there.
I did the fruit breakfast thing for a couple of decades and, just like the book said, I lost all the excess weight in the first month plus had heaps of energy. Then an accident 3½ years ago stopped me riding my pushbike everywhere and the weight came back. I'm not happy with my weight now and feel quite lethargic. Also I didn't give up coffee and fags in that time.
Because it's so cold in England now I've been having porridge for breakfast. I plan to reset, then do
FFL again starting pretty much where I started last time. Maybe I'll actually stick to the rules this time!
