Help with re-association plase

Postby master1 » Mon Aug 29, 2016 10:42 am

I tend to associate sadness with being rejected/hated (making the mind aversive and reactive). I want to re-associate sadness with acceptance. Is there a particular NLP technique which would be most optimal in doing this?

You feel sad when you are rejected. That is normal. You are suppose to not enjoy rejection or simply accept rejection. You can learn to accept that being rejected is normal. Everyone experiences rejection. Accept that rejection is a part of life. Accept not everyone one will like you, not every request for a promotion or friendship or love will be successful. Accept that when you are rejected, it is normal to not like that feeling.

If you want to get better at dealing with the sadness rejection brings, start putting yourself in more situations where rejection is possible. Don't avoid the possibility of rejection, rather embrace it and realize that being rejected means you are putting yourself out there. If you are being rejected, it means you are living life, not hiding from life.
