So then what social activity does he want to arrange or for you to do?

Either:

-1- You are not dealing with a licensed practice or;
-2- There is a misunderstanding, or;
-3- You feared the salsa so are not being entirely honest with yourself.

You mentioned 20 minute sessions. Are these face to face or online? Are these sessions at a licensed practice?

Sessions are face to face and I think licensed there is even a camera at the therapy room sessions indeed too short I don't know if he is lazy or what

Given it is licensed, video, and face to face, it is difficult to believe the salsa class or other activities are not a structured part of therapy as well. It isn’t some unqualified life coach without access to resources.

It seems much more likely that you are afraid and choosing not to participate in any of the structured activities the clinic makes available to patients.

I just can't understand why sessions are short..If I were afraid I wouldn't want it to be longer..right?

Which is why this therapist wants you to attend a dance class.

If you stop using this therapist, the next therapist, and then the next, and the next, and the next, will go through the same process. There will NEVER be a therapist that just let’s you talk and talk and talk, because talking doesn’t and never will fix being a coward. Action does.

Some therapists might listen longer and others shorter, but every single one of them will not listen indefinitely. Every one will expect you to perform actions. Every therapist will challenge you to get out of your comfort zone with action, not talk.

My concern is that you will be the patient that blames the therapist and switches to a new therapist anytime it reaches the point where you are required to get out of your comfort zone.

No problem I'm going on with this therapist. Today I'm travelling to a nearby town with a friend..A step to leave my comfort zone..

You don't need someone else's help to get yourself signed up to a salsa class. I still think it was a good idea.

Doesn't have to be salsa, but something that puts you among other people and involves some physical co-ordination. Concentrating on your movements will keep your mind off your worries, and a break from those is always a Good Thing.
