Weed withdrawal - erectile dysfunction

Hey @Tokes, I didnt know you were going through low libido / ed too. Well glad to hear Im not the only one with a recovery this long. On most days, I need ed meds to have sex with my partner too (29yrs old!!)

Ima t 1.9 years (2 next month). 3-4 months ago was the first time I felt "normal" libido wise, and didnt need ed meds to get hard with my partner. But it only lasted 4-5 days. After that, back to low libido (and other symptoms returned too). About 1.5 months ago, same thing happened - my libido increased along with most of my symptoms getting better at the same time! great! but it only lasted a week or so again; then back to poor sleep and low libido.

The past 1 week I finally had a close-to-normal libido again; or close enough at least. But today my symptoms retured and I feel low libido once again.

I hope it will start to come more and more often; but it is good to have at least a few days of feeling a more normal libido after a couple years of feeling nothing.

I havent gotten checked out by my doctor since PAWS started but I am going to this week; now that I am feeling closer to normal. I hope to check out all the problems that could lead to ED; mostly testosterone levels as I am healthy and get plenty of exercise otherwise.

@tokes.. didn’t know you were still around. Your post have helped me tremendously in coping with all this. I’m just at 6 months 17 days. How long did you have heart palpitations, or do they every go away, and a racing heart at times? Thanks

@SparkFly12 and Tokes, thanks for responding on this! The thought of using ed meds at 31 years of age is itself making me anxious and super nervous. I abused cannabis for 4 years (3-4 joints for 2 years and 1-2 joints for 2 years). My T are normal.
Did anybody take any naturopaths, sex therapy or alternative treatments. how is that so many addicts recover fine but we are just done in the "getting it up" department with just weed?

@Mikeabot mentioned he went back to fully being normal under a year. Just wondering if we were already ED candidates and weed is just taking the blame?
i did feel quite low/depressed for 3 months after quitting but starting to feel normal. Is there no recovery for this, like running, eating healthy, no fap for 3-4 months? Or should I assume Viagra is my only hope for life?
There are some full time recovers on the thread so just anxious as I used to be able to get hard with a thought but not anymore.

I definitely had ED episodes while smoking - since i stopped (4 years ago) thing keep on going up and down. At the time, i thought it was because of my weed habits, but now, i guess it was not.. Well the good news is that Sildenafil (viagra generic) works well though, so my occasional lovers leave usually very happy!
