I’m always angry, no matter what

These anger bursts occur like that because very few people own their brains. As of the brain structure, there might be patterns in which side of the brain lights up, but all of them are statistical.
I doubt there are brain areas 100% similar in everyone. And if there are, keep in mind that everyone goes to the same brain training camps, and everyone is part of the same society.
Scientists know very little about the brain actually, and believing they got it figured it out might be a mistake.

Hi Bogdan, What I am thinking is that you are very unique. My guess is that you have some kind of a neural deficit which greatly impairs your emotions, and so what you think are 'emotions' really aren't. It is like how do you explain the color red to people who are color blind? And, yes, Brain Scans are different for different people. they are especially different for people who Think, Feel, and Behave differently.

I am not suffering from anything like that, but I am doing research on thinking and trying to find out what is thought, and different kinds of thought. My research led me to believe that emotions are more complex thoughts.
You kind of prove my point when you say the brain scans are different from person to person.

Good Morning Bogdan,
I've heard it said that Intelligence is the capacity to make ever more finer distinctions. It is like women with their fashions and decor know the names of upward to 50 colors, and they are all quite distinct to them, but a guy will know 7 colors which he might modify with 'light' and 'dark'. So when you say you have been doing research on mental activities and that where you had started with two distinctions, you come down to just one. Well, what does that prove to you? It proves that even the Common Knowledge of the ordinary person is more intelligent than what you had arrived at after your research. Is your research Introspective or academic? But, perhaps I can give you an example. It is Out of Control Rage. We know it is Out of Control because people actually try to control it, but they seem to be blocked out, as thought they are on a runnaway train. This is an instance where we have TWO THINGS. We have thoughts (helpless but existing), and we have Emotions in control of the body and totally in charge. Thinking and Emotions are on two different circuits. The only way Thoughts can effect emotions is by leading towards them or away from them. Thought can be affective. If we think about how we have been insulted then that will trigger our emotional territoriality. Whenever we think of the worse we are likely to stir up more intense emotions then when we think in a balanced manner, with the Thought Guard Rails of "I do not want to make this any worse than it needs to be" and when thought touches negative emotions to abruptly, to back off. Try thinking about it in these terms which I learned in Grade School, that Emotions are Feelings, and that Thinking is like talking to one's self silently. Again, Bogdan, this is basic stuff. I honestly think that you are not experiencing 'feelings' in quite the same way as the rest of us. but, then again, maybe we just have problems communicating to each other. As I said above, the more you know about something, the more you will have to resort to 'finer and finer distinctions' and this often requires a more extensive vocabulary than normal. You might pull a few books out of the library just for the sake of learning the terminology used in your field of study. Oh, I used to be a Technical Writer and often on Very New Things Coming Out I would invent my own Terms for Things, and then I would sit and wait, and it would be very rewarding when I would find that everybody else would be picking up on the Words I had coined. But, yes, to communicate, we need words, and so, really, you should go to the Existing Literatures on the subject and familiarize on just vocabulary.

Feelings can be sharpened and trained. What does that say about feelings? I think feelings are one of our senses, and your description about women and colors is a good example of how can it happen.
I will give you another example: the job of a sommelier. He can distinguish between various types of wine, but I can taste only 3 types.
Feelings work in the same way.
Have you heard about NLP?

Hi Bogdan,

You know, if you are interested in this stuff, what is preventing you from actually studying the science? It is not like you need to read the latest Scientific Studies. There are College Textbooks you could read. (oh if you are looking for College Textbooks, I recommend Cengage Learning and their subsidiary Brooks/Cole). Instead it looks like you are trying to 'reinvent the wheel' by trying to discover everything introspectively. that was what Psychologists were doing more than 100 years ago. Do you think you will notice something that William James didn't?

And, wow, NLP!? Really!? The only people who took NLP seriously was Businesses that would send their Sales Staff to the Seminars, with the instructions to pay attention because "that is how you BS people ... don't come back until you can lie in people's faces just like that". Everyone knew it was a Big Scam. The Attraction was that they could Get Away With It. It was a pioneering Movement that lead us to what we have today: THE TRUTH DOESN'T MATTER. Bogdan, is that where you're coming from? Or don't you know what's happening?

I think NLP is classed as pseudoscience for a reason, it works. And it can be usefull, as well as dangerous, but emphasizing on dangerous.
I read books, but not scientific ones. Scientists admit themselves that they don't know much about the brain. Maybe my unique perspective is good as a different input. I don't need teams of scietists to look at my own brain, and try to underatand how it works.
The problem with scientists, especially in this field, is that they observe behavious in 3rd parties, and listen to what they say. Maybe they should look at themselves to understand a mental condition better.
Of course, maybe they are not schizophrenic, but maybe schizophrenia is the next step in human evolution?
Tesla is considered as mad for example, what distinguishes Tesla from the John Doe in the psych ward? Maybe it's education?

Hi Bogdan

Yeah, Science has its problems (you can't get anywhere unless you Publish and there are only so many Journals and the people in charge of these Journals are only human get tangled up in who they owe favors to and who they are feuding with... and it is is all Private Enterprise. Science, like everything else, needs to be Socialized and given a broader fairer budget), but Science still is a great many people working for Knowledge and they have the best intentions.

You, as I said, you are just you doing some introspecting. Honestly, Bogdan, they DID THAT ALREADY. The books are over a hundred years old. Why are you wasting your own time. At least see what people did before you and pick up on their insights. Aren't you afraid of just appearing like some crazy anti-social loner? People will worry about whether you own guns.
