Taking a Break from a relationship to get better

Postby Maixnhi » Fri Dec 22, 2017 9:37 am

I am suffering from an extremely damaging episode of anxiety and depression. It has taken a toll on how I view my relationship with my boyfriend. However, I know and he knows what we both want to be together for the long run, and we both know that I no longer have the energy to contribute to a relationship at the moment.
Would it be safe to say that we will be together again if we take a break from each other, so I can have space to find myself again?

Hey, I think it's really important to learn to love and care for yourself before putting your all into a relationship.
It can be really hard to step away from the person you love in order to clear your own head and better yourself, but sometimes that break is needed. Not saying you need to break up, but it may be really beneficial.
If you two truly still love each other after this, then going back to the relationship will feel so amazing and almost new. But on the other hand, you two may realise you are happier apart or may even find another love.. Either way, self love and care comes first. I hope you can find inner peace with this xo
