It's sh** isn't it. I have basically decided to do the same as you and get up after 30 mins if I haven't fallen asleep instead of winding myself up. I am fully expecting a bad sleep tonight cause I crashed at about half 10 last night and went right through til 6 when I got up for work. I think someone should write a book about this sh** the lack of information on it is ridiculous even the drs haven't got a clue.

Well what a sh** night that was. After sleeping like a log for the previous four nights I ended up getting about 3 hours of broken on and off sleep. Fell asleep at half 10 watching tv woke up at 11.15 got up went back to bed at 2 got up at half 2 went for a drive got back into bed at four fell asleep and woke up at half 6. Weirdly my anxiety usually arises when I have had little or no sleep but having slept for 11 hours Sunday night I felt slightly anxious and on edge all day yesterday but feel fine so far this morning. I am now pretty certain my insomnia occurs when my anxiety flares up and it stops my brain switching off. **** paws. **** weed and **** everything to do with it. I look at my friends who have never smoked now and think you lucky bastards youll never get to experience the wonders of this bs, I literally cant wait for this to be a distant memory which hopefully one day it will be. Hows everyone else getting on?

It's bloody horrible I am absolutely knackered today walked the dogs with my daughter for a good 2-3 miles this morning
The only reason I know I slept a bit last night is I keep remembering bits of dreams I have had its like I can fall asleep but somehow jump myself awake again and then I'm wide awake for a couple of hours. I am however glad that I got at least some sleep as when I don't sleep at all I spend the next day shitting myself that if i don't sleep that night it will somehow kill me. Which I know is bloody ridiculous and honestly I have never been paranoid about my health etc but PAWS has made me a bit of a hypochondriac at the moment which sucks

Yeah, it’s so weird to remember the bits and pieces of your dream as well sometimes it’s almost like you didn’t dream the night before then it just like slowly comes back to you and you remember that weird donkey dream that happened. I hate getting sleeps like these I always feel awful in the morning very sluggish hard to get out of bed.

Yes are you guys supprised? Sleep deprevation is used for everything from special forces intake to terrorise the new troops to torture techniques to terrorise people. Lack of sleep is known to drive people to insanity. The navy seals in the usa said if they forced their recruits to sleep less they would kill them.. :)

So I feel for you guys. I had the oposite. I slept and slept and slept and never woke up.. I was a zombie while awake..

So keep going people.. your strong and doing very good!!

That's the thing I don't even lose that much sleep really only 1 or 2 nights a week where I get 3-5 hours or 1 night a week where I don't sleep at all. All the other nights I get a good 7-8 hours. It's not sleep deprivation that I suffer with because I really don't force myself to stay awake it just happens and when it does I'm not tired at all just awake. But then the next day my anxiety builds because I build it up in my head to be a worse experience than it actually is. It's frustrating yeah but on the scale of the problems that people have its minor.

Also in a weird kind of way although I get anxious about not sleeping I kind of enjoy driving around in the middle of the night it gives me a bit of time on my own as this is something I don't get all that often it puts me in a calm place.

Most of the time I can't figure out if it's because of working hard or if it's because of PAWS but either way when they ache it feels like I have run a marathon. I have noticed in the last few weeks that I have started to enjoy work again as for about 4 or 5 months I was pretty disillusioned with what I was doing and whether I enjoyed it anymore but this seems to have picked up now.

Yeah another thing it could be is just anxiety and depression causing random aches and pains it’s all in our head sometimes.

Okay. I never thought you guys where forcing yourself to stay awake. :) That would be crazy. My point was that lack of sleep no matter how it happens has its own problems relatet to it. Big problems. Blame my english....
