Roommate's Friend

Postby ScornedOne » Sun Apr 22, 2018 6:08 am

So my roommate has a friend who is a complete and utter jerk to me. He's over here every single night until dawn. I can't talk to her about it because she thinks he's right and I'm the jerk. He constantly starts crap with me, she takes his side and I have to clean up after both of them. I don't have anywhere else to go, so I don't know what to do.

Hi Scorned One,

Ouch! You really don't have an Anger Problem. You have a "You're Being Screwed By Your Roommate" Problem. You know, if that guy is practically living there, why isn't he paying rent?. Also, I suppose he is drinking all the beer and eating all the leftovers in the frig. You say you have nowhere else to go, but, honestly, the Law won't let you kill the both of them and throw their limp dead bodies in the dumpster, and so you really have to start making plans. You need to move. It's your only choice, right?

Oh, but you can get some revenge if you feel like it. the only reason your roommate's boyfriend is always "starting crap" with you is because he can't keep his mind off you. If you were nice to him for even a second, he would be hitting all over you, and so, before you move out... right before you move out... put the plan into action and get a secret video of that creep hitting on you and give it to your roommate as a going away gift.

I actually do have anger issues, they just weren't showed in my post. I want to beat the crap out of her friend.

He isn't drinking my beer thankfully, but eating everything in the house, yes.

He's not her boyfriend, no one wants her because she's a two-faced b----. She definitely wants him though. But he definitely had a thing for me at one point in time. He claims to be gay, but a gay guy doesn't try to convince you to change in front of him. I actually caught him peeking through a crack in a door while my boyfriend and I had sex one time. (The door wasn't fitted properly)

He doesn't try that stuff anymore, so there's nothing to film. He avoids me like the plague now.

Hi Scorned One,

Hmmmm. Yes, in almost every case in regards to Anger Management I would council for peaceful restraint. You see, in most cases becoming Angry leads to detrimental Social, Relationship, Career consequences. But in your case, since you seem so powerful and imposing, I am wondering whether it wouldn't be better to use that as an asset.

Oh, I just had a thought.... there is a trick for Staying Calm, that is, to keep the Cortisol from pumping you up into an Uncontrollable Frenzy. Read some of my responses to other inquiries where I describe the Cortisol Suppression Trick in detail. Basically you monitor your Jaw Muscles and keep your teeth from clenching. Breath through your mouth. Just Don't Let your Jaw Muscles tense up. That will keep you calm.

Now, thinking about what you have said before, well, I suppose that you have already thought about all of your alternatives. You seem tougher than that guy and so I suppose you have seriously thought of simply tossing him out into the street. there you have to consider the possibilities. Would they call the cops on you? Usually the Cops side with the Female, especially if it is the Female that makes the phone call to 911. Heck... if your roommate wasn't there to contradict your story, you could call the cops and tell them that the guy is verbally threatening you and made a fist like he was ready to punch you out. their Protocol is nearly always that SOMEBODY has to be taken to Jail. But It depends on who they feel like taking to the Station. Does that guy LOOK gay?... you know what I mean. If you look like a really touch chick who could hold your own in a bar fight, but he looks like a spring flower afraid of his own shadow, then you probably would not want to risk convincing the cops that you were the one who felt threatened.

But, yes, work on the Trick of keeping your jaw muscles from tensing up, which will keep the Cortisol from pumping. So whatever you decide to do, at least you will be able to do it in a mode of Cold Calculation.

I wish you luck. I really know how you feel. I used to hate having to have roommates. I would rather live in a dump all by myself than in a nice place that I would have to share with a Saint. Roommates always figure out some way to get on your nerves, don't they? I was once married, but will never marry again, because, whether Love is Real or not, Spouses are too darn much like Roommates, and I hate roommates.
