PTSD

Postby Tbk2004 » Sun Jun 24, 2018 4:25 am

I was adopted at the age of 1 1/2 into a white family in the United States (I'm Korean and born in korea)

Ever since elementary school I would get bullied and harassed and what not. Everyone is racist towards me and it is uncomfortable.

I think I have PTSD, every night I wake up suddenly and abruptly at the thought of being taken away from my home, and the reasons why. And whenever I get yelled at for doing something wrong or anything where I feel negitively impacted I instantly get emotional as of my adoption and why im here and my race and that stuff.

Does that sound like PTSD?

I'm not sure how much you'd remember if you were so young. Also because PTSD is now a recognised condition it's easy to identify with it from previous trauma or issues. I'd say your later upbringing and bullying is more relevant to your current FEELINGS, e g:, If you hadn't been adopted you wouldn't have been bullied in the US.

Based on finding your previous thread and Richard's response, I'd concur.
