8 months.

Coming up on 8 months and things have taken a turn for the worse. July has been very bad. I felt so good month 7 that I truly thought it was over.

My main issue has always been insomnia. Which the turns up the depression. I’ll be sleeping fine for weeks then out of the blue, I start feeling strange head pressure. Then I end up not sleeping for 2 days. Then it’s slowly get better and gone.

Last week I had to give a speech at our company sales summit. It was so traumatic. I felt my heart pounding and I almost fainted before going up. I barely got through it and I probably sounded like a pathetic weak shell of a man. Now I fully know now how this quit is affecting social confidence.

Last night i didn’t sleep at all but noticed I could hear my heartbeat and felt hot in the sheets. Is this anxiety?

What does anxiety feel like ?

Anxiety=modern living

I'm sure there's a more clinical definition, but it seems inescapable. I would imagine having enough money, no kids, great health, great looks and a purpose might be a recipe for no/low anxiety. Who knows.

Props for public speaking! Jesus, I can barely manage an exchange with the cashier at the fkn store, 3 months clean. Idk why we torture ourselves with sobriety tbh. I remember a lot of these sharp edges being like butter when I smoked. I think year one is a real mindfker, through and through. I'm not liking this, and yet I do feel absolutely splendid at times.

Well done man, you're doing awesome

Keep it up, recovery isn't linear. I went through PAWS once and now I'm going through it again because I relapsed. I remember though sleeping fine one week bad the next. Eventually things evened out until I smoked weed a month ago and now I'm not sleeping even 4 hours. But things will get better, I hope you update as you progress.
