You haven't got a damaged brain. Or if you have, you haven't yet told us about the serious accident that damaged it.

I think damage caused by excessive adrenalin not exactly brain damage more of a damage of happiness and joy systems.

And motivation

Happiness (or joy) is a choice.
You can declare yourself unhappy (or anxious, or worried, or desperate) and your subconscious will scavenge for ways to prove you right.
You can declare yourself happy (or wealthy, or fulfilled, or in love) and your subconscious will -- again -- scavenge for ways to prove you right.

Motivation takes two forms. Something is so bad you run from it, or something is so good you run to it.

Your present life is not that bad.

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so ~ William Shakespeare

There is also biochemical aspect of happiness I gave some problems with that I think. The worst part of my present life is working anxiety and worries related to work.

But it's good enough for you to have chosen to stay there.

That's great! It's what you choose to do.

If you want to do something else, you will.

Worries stopping me. For example I plan a holiday abroad then I worry if I lose my passport there.
