Mark, it's very normal. So many people deal specifically with what you are saying. Definitely talk to some friends, don't be isolated if you can and fight against the fear. These symptoms aren't actually harming you, but need to work themselves out. Certainly do not act on such terrible thoughts. Hopefully others who have specifically dealt with what you are dealing with will hop in soon and give you some encouragement. Just know that it is NOT your only way out. That is a total lie. Seriously. People push through and recover from these terrible PAWS. It may take months or over a year, but people get better and even have better lives at the end. Just remember the power of a lie is only with believing in it. So reject it and choose life. Be with those you love. Get a hobby. Exercise. Get out in the sun. If the thoughts do persist and bother you too intensely then best to seek professional help to get you through it. Lots of people choose that route too in order to guide them through the dark times of PAWS.
