It has been known for centuries that music may heal mental diseases. My mental disease as you know about benefit from listening to music? Or is it just needless mess?

You need to listen to live preformance to get any "healing", the genre you like. Or play bad music yourself, but listening to bad music on spotify youtube etc is not healing. You need to hear and see beauty, that is what's healing.

Try to go out more. You don't have to do anything, hospital or anything. Just listen to someone playing music live. Live solos. When you learn to appreciate beauty in art and music, you will seek it more. And society (Christianity) is consentrated around ethics and esthetics, beauty. They are the rose. We are the stalk as Muslims and we hurt effectively. If you want to avoid hell-fire, you can 1. Run away and seek beauty becoming esthetic 2. Run in it becoming enlightened ascetic"

I think this is my all-time favourite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9p3sVCS0mz4

It gets really good at 3:10.

I find the first part very rousing. From 3:10 you're right, it's melancholic. Makes me cry.

I play it when I'm feeling down, have a good cry, then feel better.

I think life must be very grim for men who can't let themselves cry.

There are two kinds of feeling well. Love and longing. IMO.
