Postby desperate788 » Tue Dec 11, 2018 9:07 am

Sun seen here after a few days darkness. I consider having a walk. But I have doubts in my pschological state it may do more harm than good. What say you?

That's great! Why? Because now you know they aren't going to whip out a gun, call the police, or even run away.

What did you think about it? Are you willing to try it again?

If you keep doing it, it will certainly get easier. Also, the more you do it, the higher the probability that someone will say "hello" back.

Meeting new people may reveal new horizons for a lonely person like me. I hope I can do it.

You can do it. There's no doubt of that.

Hi Desperate :) it's great that you are thinking of walking. It's good exercise and a super distraction.

Have you heard of "mindfulness walking"? This is where you pay full attention to everything on your walk - the smells, the colours, the feeling of the earth beneath your feet. You have to fully focus on everything outside your mind. If you are alone you can even touch the leaves or trees to feel the texture. It can make you feel really alive and in tune with your environment.

Hope you are doing well by the way.
