I have another question exstonerinhell if you don't mind....
You don't mention any feelings of being brain dead or cognative issues, is this something you experienced to any degree?
Thanks again

@Upfull

I did have some pretty bad cognitive issues early on. Fortunately, those cleared up for the most part within the 4-8 month range. A lot of the issues came from the anxiety and just not being able to focus, but there was definitely some defects in my ability to retain information or just think. I was pretty much braindead up until around the fourth month when that started to slowly clear up.

The difficult part was relating to people. It was like I'd forgotten how to speak to people and how to access my social skills. That was the hardest part for me with the brain dead feeling. It was like I had to relearn how to speak with people, relearn how to act socially. I was so self-conscious too, so that didn't help things all that much.

But yeah, for a while being sober was like being the worst stoner ever and my executive functioning was shot to hell.
