A Question about Dream and Hypnosis

Hi Everyone,

I am a hypnotherapist and NLP master practitioner. Mark's depression course helped a lot about depression and how to help my client to come out of depression. I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Mark and Roger to create this great training.

In depression course, it mentioned a few times about Joe Griffin and Ivan Tyrrell's research of the linking between depression and dream. Mark's book says, "The dream acts out, in metaphor, a situation that will allow the emotional loop to be completed and therefore ‘flushed’ from the brain". It makes sense to me.

From time to time, I have a dream of "I am not good enough". Since hypnosis has a similar effect of the dream, I wonder using hypnosis can stop me to have the "I am not good enough" dream.

I am looking for some coaching on this area if you are an expert on dream analysis and hypnosis, and help me to stop this unwanted dream. I am happy to pay money for your services.

Thank you!

A free alternative to hypnosis that is very effective is the deliberate setting of small, specific goals that require some effort on your part. These goals do not prohibit establishing larger, high effort, high value goals. Instead, these small goals target the dream, by demonstrating through small action that indeed you are capable, you are good enough.

Think about a typical task list. There are usually things that are routine that require no effort, but then a few tasks you keep delaying or putting off. Focus on these tasks as they are actions that demonstrate you are capable.

The great thing about the above, (1) it takes no time as these are goals you were going to accomplish anyway and, (2) it costs nothing.

Note, I’m not saying hypnosis is not viable. I think this is a case where hypnosis might help. It is just that hypnosis requires an additional investment of time and money, and you are not actually taking action to change the reality of the degree to which you are good enough. Your actual skills do not improve, they remain the same.
