Postby desperate788 » Thu Aug 01, 2019 10:44 pm

I'm very worried and fed up because of work.. I can't sleep. May ativan ease my tension and help sleep or it just makes things worse.. Immediate response please

Ativan = Lorazepam = benzodiazepine

Read through the comment section at this video.

Years ago I was familiar with people who used/abused Xanax, which is another benzodiazepine. Abuse and addiction are rampant with these drugs, and withdrawals are nothing short of being an "f-ing bitch." (You think that you feel bad now?)

What makes you think that the descriptions you read are exaggerations?

If you had your mind made up, why bother asking anyone here? Are we going to offer help to you, only to have you once again say "I can't" listen to what might be said?

Google search for this forum on benzos: link

Just be careful and take care of yourself.

I don't think these drugs usually nor I intend to. Last night I was in a very bad situation and tried ativan for help it helped. I will use these drugs rarely in extraordinary cases.

I worked in addiction for 17 years and all the heroin addicts, benzo addicts said exactly that... Find better ways of managing your sleep is my advice.

Hey, it's your call. I only advise. If it works then chances are high you'll do it again. Then again until it doesn't work as good, then the dose goes up... Hello addiction. The withdrawal is hell. You won't die from worrying so it can be managed in other ways... As I say, it's your call/decisions and life.
Best wishes

Here we go again on the Merry-Go-Round !!

The cure to worrying is having the courage to make the changes needed.

Therapy can be effective for many anxiety/neurosis based conditions. Why do you feel yours is different? The mindset of defeatism before you start will effect the outcome...
