I hate it to break it to you but this is normal. I'm just like you, very fit, always worked out, have a 6 pack. Within the 1st month i gained 10 pounds. After 15 months being off Ive gained 20 pounds in total. My face is now the poofiest its been and ive added extra fat all over my body. I'm struggling to keep my 6 pack which has never happened to me.

I read where marijuana regulates your metabolism. Without marijuana in your system, your metabolism is out of wack and you end up eating more food.So you actually dont eat as much food with THC in your system and your body runs on less calories while on marijuana and it burns fat cells. Of course there is muncheis and you could go overboard with munchies but i never cheated on my diet even when i had the munchies I ate clean . I'm really coming to the conclusion that marijuana in moderation is actually good for you. Just read these forums, people are gaining weight, getting depressed, having erectile dysfunction. I have none of these problems when I was using, they all came after I quit. Looking back at my pictures when I smoked,i actually looked BETTER and healthier in the face while i was using daily. Now I look like a sad depressed ****.

Damn, it was so effortless to stay so lean and ripped while using! It's like I didn't even need to try and could get away with eating nearly whatever I wanted as long as I fasted in the first half of the day which was effortless with cannabis as it kinda killed my appetite when I had a tolerance. Never really had the munchies with a tolerance, and I guess I ate way less. Now it's like my brain needs dopamine from food and i'm eating more. I'm trying to stop this runaway train though by implementing strict fasting, and I just cut my carbs and going more keto.

I still think the quality of my sleep is better now, and i'm looking way less fatigued without the eye bags like I had before, and my ED actually starting happening while abusing as it was near the tail end of the abuse and what caused me to start nofap and 3 months ago quit weed. It's like the sex addiction completely exhausted my dopamine, and now i'm in a flatline. Even the cialis didn't work at the end while using but it works great now. Unfortunately my desire/libido/drive isn't like what it used to be, but i'm hopeful for it to come back by the spring. If it doesn't, i'm going back to moderate use as I definitely need to have a 6 pack again for the summer beach season.

I also think that cannabis keeps your heart rate up which is why it speeds up metabolism, but might not be great for the heart? Then again, I find that my pulse is more jacked up these days vs using. My resting heart rate was rock bottom on cannabis first thing in the morning. It also seemed to really amp up my workouts.

I do not miss sweating so much and having night sweats though, so that's one positive now being thc free for 3 months.

You can try nofap/porn and see if it improves your ED. Ive been thinking long about this, many people face this issue. Whether if they used drugs or not they will experience depression, anxiety and ED at some point in their life, and sometimes its permanent. Many of us,including myself are beating ourselves up over how we ruined and brain because of abusing cannabis, but remember they are folks out there just like us-going through what we are going through and they never used drugs.

If there is a natural plant out there that makes you happy and fight depressive thoughts, giving you a heavy desire to have good sex-would you not use it? The key to use it is in moderation and low doses. I'm on the same boat as you and its been 16 months. The heart palpations you are having is from anxiety and im experiencing the same thing. I thought something was wrong with my heart and i went to a cardiologist. The heart palpations has gotten better, but here and there ill get an ache on the side of my chest where my heart is.

I think the weed out there we are smoking isnt real weed anymore,it is why so many people are having these symptoms. These weeds are jacked up with chemicals and interbred to produce the highest amount of THC possible. It is not getting the natural elements of air, earth and water. The soil has chemicals, the light is fake, the water isnt natural rain water-in result you have shitty highs that put you into panic mode. Think about why the government is making weed legal. They know that this plant is good for you,so if they can get there hands on it and mass produce it unnaturally then people wont have access to real, natural weed. Remember the weed we were smoking back in the 2000s?. The weed today is nothing like it.Ive never felt panicky and anxious then. After a couple months of quitting i decided to smoke and it was the worst feeling ever,i thought i was going to have a heart attack and my heart was pounding out of my chest. Honestly I'm still scared to try it even in moderation. Unless you grow it yourself-you dont know what you are getting and you are going to feel a shitty high.

I'm doing nofap/nosex now...a week in... I did 4 months in the summer but that was with daily weed. Now i'm abstaining from both for way longer so hopefully in a few months when i'm 6 months weed free 3 months orgasm free i'll be in a much better position. Never really had palpitations or panic attacks though. On my last break (3 months) 2 years ago, I returned to weed with vaping a 0.05g bowl of 1:1 thc:cbd and it felt like the first time! lol Had to go straight to the sofa it felt so damn powerful, but it felt great and I was hooked again.

I do agree with everything you said about today's weed, and I don't think anything beats natural organic soil grown sun kissed rain watered outdoor. Not as strong thc, but way more full spectrum and "medicinal". But I do disagree about the government knowing it's good for us, I think it's more about control and keeping us passive and unmotivated and sick. That's why we're here. Alcohol is poison and there is a liquor store on every corner where I live.

But yeah, who knows there is a good chance you might not even enjoy weed if you ever do go back to it! Maybe very low thc and high cbd only.

I do think weed can be beneficial (more mentally than physically) if used in moderation; but you cant let your brain think that being high is the normal or it will adjust accordingly.

I did find it a lot easier to exercise when I was smoking; part of it was because I could motivate myself easier when I was high. But the flip side of this is that my muscles just didnt heal as well when I was smoking. Its like biohack alluded to, it seemed I had mild PAWS when I was still smoking on the daily (and its a big reason I decided to stop). Id work out and eat a high protein meal, and Id still be sore for 3 days. One thing I notice after quitting and once PAWS got a bit better was that my muscles healed a LOT faster; for the same workout and meal Id only be sore 1 day.

All that said, I did end up gaining a lot of weight during paws - at 10 months now and gained about 20lbs so far. But this is all in the last 3 months; as life got hard and I stopped exercising and started eating crap. Just started exercising this week again to start to lose it...
