Why no PAWS?

Postby biohack9 » Sun Apr 05, 2020 10:38 pm

Quit after a very heavy daily dabbing habit on Sept 25/2018. PAWS was very typical, horrible sleep night sweats, chills, etc for the first month, then came the wicked REM rebound and still very short sleep (4 hours), anxiety, depression etc.

Relapsed on New Years eve which turned into a 3 month binge. Stopped cold turkey a week ago, but only had a few nights of crappy sweaty sleep but nowhere near as bad as 6 months ago. Now a week later I feel pretty good! Sleep is sweat free, dreaming already but just normal dreams, and I feel better after 1 week than I did after 3 months last time.

The ONLY difference is the time of the year, and that I maybe i'm not as lean now. I ended up gaining 15lbs before, but when I started back up I actually dropped 10lbs, so maybe it's not such a "shock" to my system now?

I don't know, but before I was thinking about starting up again in a few weeks but now i'm feeling WAY better than when I did while on weed. What a difference!

PAWS is a mystery sometimes I think! I figured I would be a zero again after a 3 MONTH BINGE!

I say stay with that, biohack9. Don't go looking for withdrawal symptoms, just enjoy!

I dont think anyone understands weed PAWS, its clearly not a linear process and there are no patterns that apply to all people. We will not know for years - until more medical research is done over the next 2 decades.

It's just incredible, especially since I have about 20 years experience with this. This has NEVER happened before, ever. I mean my sleep isn't the best i've ever had, but it's about 100000% better than all my past withdrawals.

I do have cold hands and feet frequently, and armpit body odour that goes away pretty quick. Maybe my body fat is higher now too, so as not as much of an extreme cessation of cannabinoids vs when I was super lean and ripped. Perhaps just less of a shock to my system. Like you said, so many variables. I'm not complaining! This is great! lol

Okay I think I figured it out. When I quit weed 6 months ago I ended up gaining 15lbs. That 15lbs did not have any metabolites/cannabinoids since I was weed free.

IF you gain fat WHILE using cannabis it's much worse because the fat gets super saturated with metabolites and thus causes worse withdrawals?

Seems plausible to me, because i'm feeling better now after 1 week weed free than after 3 months last time!

Hope this helps someone down the road! Absolutely incredible!

Hey Biohack9. Not trying to scare you, but all the times I quit I would not enter PAWS until 3-5 week mark. After the initial withdrawal I would feel great and optimistic. Then after a month or so my world would suddenly turn very dark and the anxiety, depression and depersonalization would enter the picture. Each time I thought "maybe this time I won't get PAWS". Hopefully your story does not follow this pattern.
