66 days weed free PAWS

Hey everyone, I know I am new to this forum but I am going to break it down for you. I need help and some feedback.

I have been smoking on and off since I was 14(now 33). I started heavy usage when I was 18. This past three years is when I really started smoking high thc concentrates. Literally high from wake up till sleep. I was high at work at home and basically when I did anything. I never gave it a second thought due to all the comments about harmlessness. So on to the reason I decided to stop.

About two years ago I wanted a new job and said I would go cold turkey. I did and don't even know how long i lasted. Not this long that's for sure. I suffered from headaches, head pressure, nausea among other things. I started smoking and I went back to normal. This time I was in a store and stood up fast and almost passed out due to the blood pressure issue. It made me freak out and I was super stoned at the time and ended up having a horrible anxiety attack. I said screw this and stopped cold turkey the next day. First few days were ok with some loss.of appetite and nausea. Then the second week came and I started getting daily headaches, light sensitivity, dizzy spells and horrible panic attacks. It was so bad for about 40 days I couldn't even leave the house. I would have a panic attack everyday. It has gotten better but I am still dealing with the headaches and nausea. My legs also feel weak sometimes which could be related to the anxiety.

I understand this takes time to heal but it really sucks. I am going to get a full blood screen just to be sure but I doubt anything is wrong. I am slightly overweight but eat healthy and exercise weekly. I appreciate everyone's post and am just asking for some feedback if anyone else has these symptoms and if there is a way to alleviate them or just waiting for more time to pass.

Thank you all.

I’m going on day 65 and have had very similar symptom. Headaches, straight up anxiety attacks/panic attacks. I also can’t leave the house due to the fear of passing out or having something wrong happen in public. I couldn’t even go to the grocery store for a few weeks. I’ve had on and off nausea, lightheaded, dizziness. The hardest symptom is anxiety/panic attacks. It literally drains me. Luckily my symptoms come in waves so I have a few good days in between to help me mentally prepare for the next wave.

Hot showers have helped. Mindfulness- I know it sounds silly but whenever I’m in my head I try to force myself out of it and think of exactly what’s happening around me. What I’m wearing, the weather, sounds I hear. Distract myself with TV, movies and video games. Whenever I actually have an appetite I try to eat a good chunk of food because I never know when I’ll go days without barely eating. (I’ve lost 10 pounds already without working out) I also started taking fish oil. I’ve read it helps with your overall health and mental state of mind.

I’ve read that a lot of people notice a turning point at month 3. We are both almost there! I know we can do it. I hope both of us find some relief soon. Keep my updated on your progress.

The major plus I have noticed is weight loss. At first I got concerned but once my appetite came back I leveled off. In about two weeks I lost 15 lbs. Which is a good thing since I am considered overweight. I think a lot of my issues stem from me having health anxiety and jumping to unrealistic conclusions that I must be dying. I also have great few days then some bad days. I think mentally preparing myself would be useful. I am hoping by the time 4 months hit I am only dealing with some symptoms. The wierdest thing that came out of this is alcohol intake. I use to be high and get drunk along with it and loved it. Now when I attempt to drink I get super drunk feeling but only after a strong beer. I'm just over this. I am glad to hear you are getting closer to success as I am also. Our brains got super messed up and now it is all about equilibrium. Keep me posted and updated on changes.

That’s so crazy you mentioned healthy anxiety because I’m in the same boat! I gained a ton of weight when I started smoking and was considered overweight at one point. I honestly enjoyed eating high. Everything taste soo goood! A few months before I quit cold turkey I was really feeling it physically. Just overall tried, major heart burn, indigestion etc. So those months leading up to me quitting in the back of my mind I felt like my body was going to give in any day. 2 weeks before I quit I was having SOB and finally the day before quit I had a major panic attack like I was going to die. The first month after I quit I was having SOB, chest pain, heart palpitations. Eventually I figured out it was just my anxiety. Also I would highly recommend the book d.a.r.e it addresses anxiety and ways to deal with it and even overcome it. I have a very active mind and I’m constantly thinking so I think that’s part of why I have anxiety.

Also great idea on the blood work. I’m sure when it comes back normal your anxiety will subside.
