Sometimes when I drink, when i'm going through my own issues, people will approach me. Sometimes they try and talk to me, but I feel like i am completely insensitive to whatever it is they are going through, and sometimes i might randomly come up on some kind of subject and just start losing whatever it is that i was thinking about and start talking about something else that isn't really an issue to me, but maybe i am trying to console people in some way? Maybe other things come up when I do that?

I really feel like I should avoid people when I do this alone, and not socially. Especially people that are down and out. Does this mean I am insensitive to people? Or should I just tell people to **** off so that I don't hurt their feelings somehow?

I don't feel like I have the capacity to have a decent conversation with someone when I am doing that, but I don't want to shove people away, do you think thats what I should do?

If they offer you comfort accept it, its better to talk your feelings with someone rather than keeping it inside.

Maybe when you talk, always keep a rational thinking so you wont hurt their feelings
