2 years and still alive!

Postby olskoolru » Wed Feb 04, 2015 3:20 am

Almost at my 2 year anniversary and all the insane fears that I permanently damaged my brain are GONE.

Am I all the way through it? Nope. Am I happy I am here today? YES.
Is life better after weed? MUCH!
Am I a different person? YES!
Different how??!
-Temper is gone
-I don't lie anymore
-Career has taken off
-Happier than ever
-More aware of everything (this one will take a lot of getting used to)
-Mental clarity is amazing
-Thankful for every pain free moment
-Mind/thoughts are much more
stable
-Drugs or drug dealers dont determine how my day will go
-I now build quality relationships
-Marriage improved beyond recogniton
-More confident
-And I NEVER EVER EVER WANT TO SEE WEED AGAIN

To those of you still in your first year or so, please check my story. If I can make it through this, you can too!

God bless you all!

That is brilliant to hear and really glad that you feel so much better after 2 years. One year and just over one month now for me and it is getting slowly clearer.

So v v glad I have quit and never want to feel the way I did before again.

Very positive reading posts from you and netty about how much more enjoyable life becomes at the 2 year point with less side effects and PAWS :D

I have a question for you OSR.

Since it has been two years, what was it that first motivated you to get sober? And did that motivation change over time once you had 6 months, year, or the two years behind you?

O-
Great job. 2 years seems to be the magic time for major healing to have occurred. Seems very daunting but you did ,it so other people on this forum can do it also.
You like yourself, you are doing well at your job, etc... shows the body and mind have incredible healing powers.
Your steadfastness is what got you there.

Made it to my 2 year anniversary today. This week has been one of the best of my life. Nothing particularly eventful happened, I just felt so good and alive.

I did think about how different things are now. I don't have to smoke every night, now I look forward to something deelicious to eat and relaxation time. It's the little things that count.

Now, weed is just an after thought.

CONGRATS olskoolru!!!!!!

I can't thank you enough for the inspiration you've provided me with your posts. Along with a few other posters here, if it hadn't been for you, I don't know where I'd be now. Probably still seeing doctors trying to figure out what was wrong with me while continuing to smoke myself into insanity unable to realize it was the cause of my problems.

THANK YOU.

Thanks JohnRLivingston,

Glad I am able to give back to the forum. I don't know where I would've been without it either. Scary scary stuff we went through. I think I went 5 months not knowing what was happening. As soon as you're through and make it to the other side , make sure to stick around to help as well. There will be many many many more weed addicts seeking desperate help and we are the only ones that will understand. They just have to find us first.

Thanx for posting!
